The expert from IMMA introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2014/9 with a proposal for amendments to UN Regulation No. 53 to allow for the use of different brake lamp activation methods for Powered Two Wheelers (PTWs) as well as to introduce the concept of a high-mounted stop lamp to PTWs to improve the conspicuity of the vehicles during stopping. GRE adopted this proposal, as amended by Annex II to this report and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their November 2014 sessions as a new Supplement to the 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 53.
