Japan The representative from Japan presented the HELPNET system via the presentation in AECS-02-06. The expert underlined that Japan does not use the GSM network and informed that Japan is committed to adopt the UN regulation, but needs that some flexibility is ensured for the infrastructure. OICA requested some technical details such that the manufacturers can compare the Russian, EU and Japanese systems (transmission of data, etc.). The informal group was also informed that the management of the Japanese AECS is purely private. |
