OICA statement praising the successful work towards producing the first-phase regulation on light vehicle emissions and fuel efficiency, including for electric vehicles. However, OICA also notes the large number of open issues remaining to be resolved, including those intended for future phases of development.

7. Having echoed the acknowledgements of the Chair of GRPE for the work on the WLTP, the expert from OICA introduced GRPE-67-02, recalling the need to continue to work on the development of the WLTP UN GTR.
