Draft proposal to:

• Introduce requirements for State-of-Certified Energy and State-of-Certified Range monitors that operate for the full lifetime of vehicles,
• Set minimum performance requirements for battery durability expressed as SOCE values of 80 percent at 5 years or 100,000 km and 70 percent at 8 years or 160,000 km for categories 1-1 and 1-2, and 75 percent and 65 percent respectively for category 2 vehicles,
• Establish a two-part in-use verification process with Part A verifying monitor accuracy through statistical method on minimum 3 vehicles and Part B verifying battery durability through remote collection of on-board values from sample of at least 500 vehicles with pass decision requiring 90 percent or more of values above MPR,
• Introduce Part C verification of reported virtual distance for V2X applications with pass/fail decision based on statistical procedure with maximum 4 vehicles.
