The group discussed emission standards for used vehicles, noting difficulty in comparing US EPA and Euro Standards equivalents and proposing use of vehicle registration year and country as verification method. For electric vehicles, the group agreed to treat inspections similarly to internal combustion vehicles while considering battery lifespan, referencing Rule 4 of the 1997 Agreement, UN GTR 22, and UN R133. The group removed ABS reference from UN R78 for powered two-wheelers in WP.29-194-35 and approved replacing 2025 task force meetings with full IWG meetings as needed.
