The eighth meeting of the Informal Working Group on EV/HFCV Retrofit Systems is scheduled for Tuesday 21st April 2026. The agenda includes coordination and organization of work with reference to GRPE-92-14, EVHFCV-02-02, GRPE-93-22-Rev.1, GRSP-78-17, GRVA-24-07, and GRPE-94-06, electrical safety review, cybersecurity, braking, EMC, and UN draft documentation review. Future meetings are planned for 11th June, 2nd July, and 9th September, with hybrid and online formats.
51. The expert from CITA made a presentation (GRSP-78-17) on behalf of the IWG on electric vehicle and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle retrofit systems, that works under the umbrella of the Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE). He summarized the work already done and future plans and encouraged GRSP experts to attend their meetings in order to get a better input in matters related to safety. The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands explained that although for EV conversions, UN Regulation No. 100 would be useful, for HFCV ones, UN Regulation No. 134 would not be sufficient.
88. The representative of Spain presented (GRVA-24-07) the activities of the GRPE IWG on Electric Vehicles and Hybrid Fuel Cell Vehicles (EV/HFCV) retrofit systems. She invited the GRVA experts to join the next meetings as their expertise would be needed to address braking and cybersecurity provisions.
