53. The representative of Japan presented GRVA-23-40 proposing to clarify the GRVA position on the right way to read the supplements of UN regulation No. 152 concerning the tolerance in para. 6.6.1. The document proposed to adopt amendments (that might be considered redundant) or Corrigenda to clarify the reading of this paragraph. GRVA confirmed that the original intention of the IWG on AEBS was that the tolerance of 0.4 km/h shall apply to all series of amendments and requested the secretariat to correct the necessary documents accordingly.
