30. GRE considered ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/40 on the use of electronic light source control gear and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/41, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/42, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/47 and GRE-66-18 clarifying the text of the Regulation. GRE adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/40 as amended below, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/41 not amended, ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/47 not amended, and GRE-66-18 reproduced below, and requested the secretariat to submit them to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration at their March 2012 session as draft Supplement 4 to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 19. The expert from GTB withdrew ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/42 following the adoption of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2011/40.
Paragraph 6.4.1.4., amend to read:
“6.4.1.4. In the case of LED modules:
- All measurements on front fog lamps equipped with LED module(s) shall be made at 6.3 V, 13.2 V or 28.0 V respectively, if not otherwise specified within this Regulation. LED modules operated by an electronic light source control gear shall be measured with the input voltage as specified by the applicant. or with a supply and operating device which replace this control gear for the photometric test. The relevant input parameters (e.g. duty cycle, frequency, pulse shape, peak voltage) shall be specified and stated in the communication form, item 10.6., in Annex 1 to this Regulation.
The measured luminous intensity values shall be multiplied by a factor 0.7 prior to the check for compliance."
