GRB took note of a proposal submitted by the expert from the Netherlands which introduces two extra stages 3 and 4 with limits for the rolling sound emission, wet grip performance and rolling resistance coefficient (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRB/2019/3). The Chair was of the view that, given the ongoing discussion on the issue within the European Union, it would be premature to modify the noise limits at this moment and proposed to revert to this document at a later stage.
