99. The Chair of the informal group on Phase 2 of gtr No. 7, introduced WP.29-153-28 and WP.29-153-29, containing respectively a proposal for amending the terms of reference and the second progress report of the informal group. He explained that the group was focusing on a dynamic test to mitigate both short and long-term whiplash injuries rather than on low and high test speed pulse as was previously agreed upon in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/AC.3/25. He concluded that a gtr proposal was scheduled for adoption by AC.3 in June 2013, pending the finalization of injury criteria. AC.3 adopted WP.29-153-28 and requested the secretariat to prepare a revised version developing the amendment and to transmit it to GRSP. AC.3 also requested the secretariat to distribute WP.29-153-29 with an official symbol. |
