Proposal for Supplement 6 to the 01 series of amendments to Regulation No. 113
Status: Adopted

Proposal to align the requirements of UN R113 with those adopted in Regulations Nos. 98, 112 and 123 relating to movement of the cut-off line after heat test and to correct an error in the provisions on the use of LED modules.

Discussions and Outcomes
169th WP.29 session (21-24 Jun 2016)
This proposal (WP.29/2016/74) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-nine Contracting Parties out of the 49 applying UN R113 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-nine voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
75th GRE session (5-8 Apr 2016)

56. GRE took note that WP.29, at its March 2016 session, had referred ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2016/24 on Regulation No. 113 back to GRE. The expert from GTB clarified that this was due to unclear provisions for the cut-off line in Annexes 4 and 5. He further pointed out that similar provisions had already been introduced in Regulations Nos. 98, 112 and 123, and that GTB would prepare collective amendments to all these Regulations for consideration at the next session of GRE. At the same time, GRE noted that the remaining provisions of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2016/24 did not seem to create any problem and requested the secretariat to issue them as a separate document and to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration and vote, possibly already at their June 2016 sessions. [Note: The remaining provisions were reintroduced in document WP.29/2016/74 for the June 2016 WP.29 session.]

168th WP.29 session (8-11 Mar 2016)

62. The draft amendment under agenda item 4.9.9 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2016/24) was referred back to GRE for further consideration.

[Document needs correction. EU has no mandate to approve the amended document and therefore, cannot participate in adoption vote. Moreover, since the correction would be needed to an official document, as a procedural matter, the proposal is returned to the GRE for correction. As a result, this document was removed from the list for voting.]
