The expert from Italy presented GRRF-79-30, introducing the amendments proposed in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2014/23/Rev.1 as amended by GRR-79-11 and GRRF 79 13 on new requirements for the approval of replacement brake discs for L category vehicles, taking into consideration the latest technologies available in the market.
25. The proposal received some comments. GRRF agreed to revisit this item on the basis of a revised proposal to be submitted by the expert from Italy and taking into account all the comments received
25. The expert from CLEPA introduced GRRF-86-40 proposing to amend ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2016/58, which was prepared on the basis of three documents with conflicting provisions. The secretariat informed GRRF that ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2016/58 was adopted by AC.1 as Supplement 3 to UN Regulation No. 90 and that the corrections proposed could not be adopted as drafted. The secretariat agreed to prepare a revised version that could potentially be adopted (GRRF-86-40-Rev.1) by AC.1 as a Supplement 4.
26. The expert from Italy presented GRRF-80-31, introducing ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRRF/2014/23/Rev.2 and GRRF-80-37 and proposing requirements for the approval of replacement brake discs for L-category vehicles, taking into consideration the latest technologies available in the market as well as comments received during the previous session of GRRF. GRRF adopted the proposal with the following amendments:
(a) the proposed transitional provisions (paras 12.1 to 12.6) shall be deleted;
(b) The note under Table A15/2.9 shall read: “There are no groups…”
59. The expert from CLEPA introduced GRVA-01-12 with minor amendment proposals to UN Regulation No. 90, addressing the concern expressed in GRRF-86-40. The expert from France proposed that the amendment to the table in para. 5.3.4.1.1 should also include the vehicles of category L6 and L7 (in alignment with the vehicles of category M1 and N1). The experts from Spain and from CLEPA supported the proposed alignment of L6 and L7 values with the existing values for M1 and N1. The expert from CLEPA agreed to prepare a revised proposal for review at the September 2019 session.
