The proposal clarifies the limits on the use of any temporary ABS deactivation switch and prohibition against permanent disabling of ABS if fitted on a motorcycle. The European Commission prepared this revised proposal in cooperation with Germany, the Netherlands and IMMA. Given the importance of the changes, the proposal includes transitional provisions.
