Proposal to clarify provisions referring to the “vehicle master switch”. After a battery-off (circuit disconnection) event, some vehicle settings may turn to a default setting that is not the last setting. The proposal introduces an exemption applicable to FVA systems in such “system reset” cases.

This proposal (WP.29/2025/109) was adopted by the World Forum. Forty-one Contracting Parties out of the 61 applying UN R176 were present for the vote by AC.1. Forty-one voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
