The proposal concerns specifications on category G of road tractors, extracting from and revising document GRB/2012/12 pursuant to discussions from the last Working Party on Noise session.

Proposal by the WP.29 secretariat to consider amending the Consolidated Resolution to adhere with provisions of the UN Regulations concerning noise limits. Presently, the resolution (which provides a framework and general reference for UN Regulations) permits a 5 db(A) tolerance in measuring noise levels while the UN Regulations 51, 41 and 63 referred to in the resolution permit narrower margins of 1 db(A) or 3 db(A).
