1. detect vehicle exhaust emissions exceeding prescribed limits,
2. monitor propulsion battery storage capacity and health,
3. warn drivers as warranted, and
4. communicate such information off-board.

Proposal to establish requirements for the type approval of vehicles with regard to the particle emissions of their braking systems, including uniform methods for their measurement. Japan abstained from the vote to adopt.
