Proposal to improve the document GRE/2018/11 (GRE-79-31) and to introduce in R48-06 new minimum installation requirements for type approved lighting and light-signalling devices and to improve the transitional provisions for Regulations Nos. 3, 4, 6, 7, 19, 23, 27, 38, 50, 69, 70, 77, 87, 91, 98, 104, 112, 113, 119 and 123. Proposal for new minimum installation requirements for type approved lighting and light-signalling devices in R48-06. Proposal to clarify which devices may be installed on the vehicles in line with the applicable requirements as amended by the new UN Regulations on light-signalling devices, road illumination devices, and retro-reflecting devices.
Proposal from GRE to introduce transitional provisions for the phasing out of UN R3 in conjunction with the introduction of the new simplified Regulation on Retro-Reflective Devices (RRD).
