The expert from EC informed GRSG on new innovative vehicle alarms systems such as silent alarm or door-unlocking using smart phone (GRSG-106-38) and questioned the need to develop an appropriate amendment to UN Regulation No. 116. GRSG agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its next session in October 2014 and requested the secretariat to keep GRSG-106-38 on the agenda.
