Korea Automotive Technology Institute was established under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (now Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE)) in 1990. The mission of institute is to support the regional auto parts industry, especially small and medium enterprises, to secure sustainable growth by offering R&D support, reliability assessment testing as well as technical information and human resources development.
