Established in 1858, TICERI provides certification and approval testing services under ISO standards and UN Regulations and conducts research into fundamental theories and applied techniques related to motorcycles and similar light vehicles.
TICERI includes the Tianjin Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute, Tianjin University Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute, and the Tianjin Motorcycle Technical Center. TMTC is affiliated with the National Development and Reform Commission, Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China and provides approval and certification testing services.
TICERI has four research departments: motorcycle testing center, motorcycle and engine design, motorcycle test track, and an EMC laboratory and a large low-temperature lab. The group occupies a 26,000 m2 facility and employs a staff of 380.
