Established in October of 2004, Recharge is a Brussels-based association for advanced rechargeable batteries, founded to promote the value of rechargeable batteries and represent the interests of its members in the chain of battery life.

Its activities focus on four major themes:

- Rechargeable and recyclable
- Registration and collection
- Regulation and legislation, and
- Communication and Public Relations.
