Proposal to amend and extend the existing requirements for odometers to include provisions on:
accuracy of the on-board odometer mileage values,
anti-tampering of the on-board odometer mileage values and
accuracy and anti-tampering of the odometer mileage values displayed to the driver.

This proposal (WP.29/2025/18/Rev.1) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 51 applying UN R39 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
