The representative of the EU, co-sponsor of the UN GTR on HFCV, informed AC.3 that as a follow-up to the adoption of the authorization to develop Phase 2 of the UN GTR, the IWG already started its activities. He however kindly solicited the participation to the work of the IWG of representatives of Contracting Parties such as China and United States of America. However, AC.3 noted that the contribution of these Contracting Parties, at their request, could be even incorporated as co-sponsors of the development of Phase 2 at a later stage.
