Reference Number: R55-09-01
The text prepared by the informal group of experts on Regulation No. 55 to introduce amendments on the test procedure and installation of couplings belonging to classes K and L.
UN R55: Thoughts on approvals based upon virtual testing
Reference Number: R55-09-08
The pending Revision 3 to the 1958 Agreement opens the way for virtual or simulation testing for use in type approvals. This presentation considers the proposed amendment and its application to mechanical coupling approvals.
Working draft proposal from the informal group on Regulation No. 55 to update the provisions concerning Class K hook-type couplings when coupled with class L toroidal drawbar eyes.
Working draft proposal of the informal group on UN Regulation No. 55 to introduce amendments on:
(a) Requirements on remote indication;
(b) Availability of information on coupling fixing points for A50X couplings;
(c) On lateral strength of drawbars;
(d) Includes a new class definition for fully automatic drawbar couplings.
Proposal for amendments to Regulation No. 55 (agricultural couplings)

Reformatted working draft text prepared by the informal group on UN Regulation No. 55 to introduce provisions for agricultural couplings and related applications.
UN Regulation No. 55: Proposal for Class S coupling amendments
Reference Number: R55-09-25
Class S couplings refer to non-standard national/regional couplings that remain in use despite the broad trend towards harmonization around an agreed set of couplings specifically covered by other UN R55 classes. The aim of this proposal is to tighten and clarify the requirements for such couplings while discouraging the development of new non-standard Class S couplings (such that new designs would result in new classes if needed).
