Proposal to amend the regulation frontal impacts with a view towards the establishment of a new regulation on frontal impact testing for occupant restraint systems (full width rigid barrier test). The proposal increases the thorax compression criterion (ThCC) stringency to 42 mm (from 50 mm), clarifies vehicle width definition, and amends REESS acronym definition. |
