The 73rd EPPR Informal Working Group Meeting on Environmental and Propulsion Performance Requirements of L-category vehicles was held 1 June 2026. The agenda and previous meeting report EPPR-72-03 were adopted without changes. The IWG discussed transposing UN-GTR No. 2 to Euro 3, 4, and 5 emission levels through incremental steps; the new 02 series of amendments to R40 was adopted by March 198/WP.29 (WP.29/2026/24), and IMMA presented a draft 03 series for Euro 4 level. The IWG agreed to identify legislative gaps via questionnaire due 26 June. Information was exchanged on maximum power determination, battery electric vehicle range determination standardization using SAE J2982, and deterioration factors in GTR 23 on durability. The next meetings are scheduled for 8 July 2026, 7 September 2026, and October 2026. |
