45. The expert from the Kingdom of the Netherlands updated GRSP on the latest developments on this issue. He briefed on the work carried out at a working group in ISO on child restraint systems (ISO/TC 22/SC 36/WG2) where a new task force on “ISOFIX generation II” has been launched. He also briefed on a prototype presented at the Langweider Conference in Munich in December 2025 and on several presentations made at the International Technical Conference on the Enhanced Safety of Vehicles (ESV) in Toronto in May 2026. The expert from Australia gave his support to the work on this topic while acknowledging the challenges that transitioning to a new standard would pose nationally.
