The representative of Japan, Co-Chair of the IWG on ITS, informed GRVA on the recent activities of the Task Force on Vehicular Communication (GRVA-24-09) under the IWG on Intelligent Transport System (ITS). He announced the next task force hybrid meeting scheduled on 23 January 2026, dedicated to reviewing input provided by the Contracting Parties and the NGOs on measures to protect vulnerable road users by communication technology.

52. The representative of ITU informed GRVA on the preparation of the AI for Good summit scheduled for July 2026 and explained that it would host the UNECE/ITU Future Networked Car symposium.
