Proposal to amend UN R95 regarding approval of vehicles with regard to protection of occupants, fuel system integrity and protection against electrical shock in lateral collision. The Regulation is amended to account for vehicles of category X, while vehicles of category Y are not in scope. The amendment extends application to vehicles without driver and manual driving controls and vehicles equipped with Automated Driving Systems. Modifications include amendments to scope, definitions, test procedures for side impact, door locking systems, and steering wheel adjustments. |
