124. The representative of EU gave an update of the recent work by the EVS IWG and indicated that it had concluded its work on Phase 2. He also summarized the amendments to UN GTR No. 20, which have been sent as an informal document to the December 2025 session of GRSP. He indicated that these amendments would most probably be ready for adoption by AC.3 in November 2026. He informed AC.3 that the group may ask AC.3 on its March 2026 session for authorisation on a third phase of its work. Finally, he welcomed Canada as a co-sponsor of the work of the group. The representative of Canada elaborated on the need for a third phase of the work. Canada and EU thanked the Republic of Korea for their hosting of the last session of the group.
