GRSP also agreed to resume discussion on a possible revised proposal (superseding GRSP-72-06) tabled by an ad hoc group led by the expert from Japan concerning the requirement on the Thorax Compression Criterion (ThCC).

GRSP-73-22 | UN R29: Discussion on Frontal protection in buses Discussion on the introduction of technical requirements applying to the bus front to reduce the extent of damage and injury in connection with potential frontal impact accidents. It has also been raised by the labour unions that buses need to become more crash resistant. Plan is to change the scope and perhaps add a new section for testing the front of the buses. Alternatively make a new regulation for frontal protection for buses.
