The Chair reviewed document EVE-03-06e covering Agenda item 2.

The Chair reminded participants of the discussions held during EVE-03, where participants agreed to develop a Reference Guide based on a ‘vehicle attributes’ approach and using a questionnaire.

The Chair reviewed the status of action items:

• The European Commission representative will present EV standardization recommendations and concerns. This will be discussed at agenda item 5.

• The EVE Secretary will adjust the Reference Guide outline and questionnaire as per comments received during EVE-03. This action is also completed; revised documents will be presented at agenda item 4.

• OICA offered to provide input to the activities of EVE. A bilateral discussion with OICA is planned for later this week to determine an approach.

• The Secretary will develop a roadmap. This is completed; a roadmap will be presented during agenda item 7.

• As requested by AC.3/WP.29, the EVE will submit the EVE Terms of Reference and a Progress Report to the March session. This is completed. The documents will be presented during the 65th session of the GRPE, after which they will be presented to the AC.3/WP.29 in March 2013.

• The Secretary will adjust the draft EVE-04 agenda as per comments received. Completed.

• The Secretary will contact the Chairs of the other IWGs involved with EVs (EVS, WLTP, HDH, and VSPD) to ensure continued collaboration. This is completed. Chairs of IWGs will update EVE members on activities related to EVs at agenda item 6.
