Proposal to amend UN GTR No. 22 by:

• Introducing requirements for State-of-Certified Energy and State-of-Certified Range monitors,
• Setting Minimum Performance Requirements for battery durability of Pure Electric Vehicles and Off-Vehicle Charging Hybrid Electric Vehicles at 80 per cent energy retention after 5 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) and 70 per cent after 8 years or 160,000 km for categories 1-1 and 1-2, with lower thresholds for category 2 vehicles,
• Establishing a two-part in-use verification process comprising monitor accuracy verification and battery durability assessment,
• Introducing a Part C verification procedure for vehicles with V2X functionality or non-traction purposes to verify reported virtual distance accuracy.
