30. The expert from Germany introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/40 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/39 (agenda item 24 (h)) with proposals to change the torque values of the upper legform impactor to avoid damaging it during tests. GRSP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/40 and requested the secretariat to submit it as proposals for supplement 2 to the original version, supplement 1 to the 01 series of amendments, supplement 1 to the 02 series of amendments, supplement 4 to the 03 series of amendments and supplement 3 to the 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 127 to the June 2026 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1. It also adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2025/39 and requested the secretariat to submit it as a proposal for a corrigendum to UN GTR No. 9 to the June 2026 sessions of WP.29 and AC.3.
30. The Vice-Chair of GRSP on behalf of Chair of GRSP reported on the results of the 78th session of GRSP (for details, see the report in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/78).
31. The Vice-Chair informed WP.29 that GRSP had adopted amendments to UN Regulations Nos. 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 21, 29, 94, 95, 100, 127, 129, 134, 135, 137, 145, 153, 170, 173 and 174, a new UN Regulation on liquid hydrogen, an amendment to UN GTR No. 13 and a corrigendum to UN GTR No. 9, which would be presented to WP.29, AC.1 and AC.3 for consideration and voting on their June sessions. These amendments include those resulting from the review of existing UN Regulations related to Automated Driving Systems (ADS).
32. GRSP also approved a new Task Force on Emergency Door Opening (TF-EDO) and endorsed a request to AC.3 for authorization for a Phase 3 of the Informal Working Group on Electric Vehicle Safety (IWG-EVS). WP.29 endorsed this request for authorization for a Phase 3 of the IWG-EVS.
33. The Vice-Chair of GRSP informed WP.29 that the work in TF-EDO was progressing fast and that it had decided at its last meeting to request AC.3 for authorization to amend UN GTRs and to request WP.29 and AC.3 to be upgraded from a Task Force to an Informal Working Group. Several delegates expressed support for the work of the task force, agreed on its importance and urgency and looked forward to receiving the formal request in the next session of WP.29. The delegate from the Republic of Korea invited all interested experts to participate in the next meeting of TF-EDO, which would take place in Seoul.
34. Finally, GRSP elected by acclamation Mr. E. Wondimneh (United States of America) as Chair and Messrs. H. G. Kim (Republic of Korea) and V. Calzadilla García (Spain) as Vice-Chairs for the sessions of GRSP scheduled in the year 2026.
