129. The representative of Japan, Co-Chair of the IWG on ADS, presented the status report (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/160, updated as WP.29-197-08-Add.1) on GRVA activities related to the development of the UN GTR on ADS, scheduled for adoption in June 2026. He noted that the draft UN GTR and UN Regulation on ADS had been submitted as official documents for consideration at the January 2026 GRVA session and that an additional informal document would be prepared during the December 2025 Tokyo session of the IWG on ADS. He also recalled the information provided under agenda item 2.3, including ongoing consultations regarding the planning of activities beyond June 2026. 130. The representative of Canada, Co-Chair of the IWG on ADS, acknowledged the impressive work carried out by the group under the leadership of the six Co-Chairs and two ambassadors. 131. The representative of the United States of America, Co-Chair of the IWG on ADS, acknowledged the support provided by the four secretaries (AAPC, JASIC, OICA, and SAE International). |
