50. During the consultations, the experts reviewed the proposal tabled by the expert from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRVA/2025/32), which aimed to ensure that where vehicles exhibit functionality meeting the definition of Automatically Commanded Steering Function (ACSF) of Categories B2 or E, they are required to comply with the correct series of UN Regulation No. 171. The experts also reviewed a proposal tabled by the expert from OICA, which contained amendments to the Remote-Controlled Parking (RCP) provisions (GRVA-22-07 and GRVA-22-09) in UN Regulation No. 79 (Steering equipment).

51. GRVA adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRVA/2025/32 and requested the secretariat to submit it to WP.29 and AC.1 for consideration and vote in November 2025.

52. GRVA noted GRVA-22-09 and GRVA-22-07. GRVA agreed to consider a revised proposal at the next session.

53. During the consultations, the expert from OICA proposed that transitional provisions should be inserted in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/61 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/62.

54. GRVA reviewed GRVA-22-35 and GRVA-22-36. GRVA could not follow the recommendation by OICA due to administrative reasons but agreed to resume discussion in September 2025.

42. GRVA requested the secretariat to transmit the proposal, as reproduced in Annex III, as draft supplements to the 03 and 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 79 and to be incorporated in the draft 05 series of amendment to UN Regulation No 79, for consideration and vote by WP.29 and AC.1 at their March 2025 sessions.
