WLTP-DTP | Session 9 | 16-18 Apr 2012 |
As agreed during DTP8 B. Coleman provided an initial draft proposal on how to deal with family concepts within the GTR (see Doc WLTP‐DTP‐09‐02). Despite regional differences family concepts are a fundamental and indispensable part of the process of vehicle approval/certification. The group concluded that the revision and redefinition of family parameters is necessary and possible. A Family concept is belonging to type approval issues but at least defining guidelines inside a GTR should be possible. The DTP chairman confirmed the importance of family concepts. Therefore the DTP‐group decided that family concepts (or at least guidelines for family concepts) should be part of the GTR. The presented document will be circulated within the DTP‐Group and re‐discussed during DTP10. All contracting parties are asked for comments to this paper until DTP10. Objective of DTP 10 is to give a clear advice, how to deal with family concepts within the GTR. |
