The GTB believes the Data Exchange for Type Approvals (DETA) system will enhance and simplify the current lighting approval markings. The GTB, however, recommends resolving questions concerning DETA administration, financing and try-out before further steps towards implementation.
22. The expert from GTB introduced GRE-67-11 reporting on the work progress of the informal group on Database for the Exchange of Type Approval documentation (DETA). He stated that GTB will align its timetable for implementing the simplification of the approval marking with that presented by the Informal Group. GRE agreed to keep this item on the agenda of its further sessions.
The informal group noted the position of GTB on the development of DETA as given in informal GRE document GRE-67-11e.
