The text was prepared by the expert from the EC to modify the scope and gives the opportunity for Contracting Parties to apply BSIS prescriptions to all trucks and buses, including small and light ones.
25. The experts from the IWG VRU-Proxi introduced document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2020/7, the proposal for supplement 2 to UN Regulation No. 151 (Blind Spot Information Systems (BSIS)) and document GRSG-118-09 containing amendments to the proposal.
26. GRSG adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSG/2020/7 on amendments to UN Regulation No. 151, as amended by GRSG-118-9, and agreed to submit it for consideration and vote at the November 2020 session of WP.29/AC.1.
27. The expert from the European Commission expressed gratitude to members of the IWG on VRU-Proxi for the work on the considered proposals under this agenda item, and the GRSG delegates and for their adoption, highlighting the importance of the of the proposals for the rollout of the European Union General Safety Regulation.
34. GRSG reviewed ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2020/105 and confirmed its submission for consideration and vote at the November 2020 session of WP.29/AC.1.
