38. The Secretary of the working group on Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicles–Subgroup Environment (HFCV-SGE) presented the draft technical report (GRPE-61-03) summarizing the outcome of discussions and recommendations available in the different regions in support of the harmonization process. It was recommended not to develop a new global technical regulation (gtr) on environmental issues of HFCV, but to adapt the existing regulations under both 1958 and 1998 Agreements according to the technical progress. 39. GRPE requested the secretariat to transmit GRPE-61-03 to the Working Party on Noise (GRB) for consideration at its February 2011 session and especially for comments on Chapters 9 and 11 regarding noise issues. GRPE agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its next session in June 2011 on the basis of an official document. In this respect, the secretariat was requested to distribute GRPE-61-03 with an official symbol including the comments by GRB. |
