GRSP agreed to resume discussion on this subject on the basis of a revised proposal by the expert from CLEPA. GRSP also noted GRSP-63-27 on clarifying the definition of “infant carrier” and GRSP-63-30 on clarifying that extensions of type approvals to the 02 series of amendments shall continue to be granted. GRSP agreed in principle on both proposals and requested the secretariat to distribute them with an official symbol at the December 2018 session of GRSP.

The expert from CLEPA introduced ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2018/24 to clarify the definition of “infant carrier” and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2018/28 to clarify that certain user information was displayed sufficiently. The expert from Spain introduced GRSP-64-28 to improve the consistency of the information. GRSP adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2018/24 and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2018/28 as amended by Annex V to the session report. The secretariat was requested to submit ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2018/24 as part of (see paras. 29 and 30) draft Supplement 2 to the 03 series of amendments and ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRSP/2018/28 as part of (see para. 29) draft Supplement 9 to the original version of UN Regulation No. 129, as part of (see paras. 29 and 30) Supplement 6 to the 01 series of amendments, as part of (see paras. 29 and 30) draft Supplement 5 to the 02 series of amendments and as part of (see paras. 29 and 30) draft Supplement 2 to the 03 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 129 for consideration and vote at the June 2019 sessions of WP.29 and AC.1.
