111. The EU representative proposed an amendment to UN GTR No. 5 clarifying the provisions on heavy-duty on-board diagnostic (OBD) systems. AC.3 gave its consent and requested the secretariat to distribute WP.29-154-07 with an official symbol (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/AC.3/30).

16. The expert from EC presented ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRPE/2011/15 proposing to clarify the test procedures in GTR No. 5 on worldwide harmonized requirements for onboard diagnostic systems (WWH-OBD). GRPE noted a number of comments and agreed to have a final review of the proposal at its next session in January 2012. The Chair reminded the expert from EC to also prepare a proposal to develop such an amendment for submission to the Executive Committee (AC.3) of the 1998 Agreement at its forthcoming session in June 2011.
