WP.29 | Session 153 | 8-11 Mar 2011 |
96. The Chair of the informal group on Phase 2 of gtr No. 7 introduced a proposal (WP.29-153-11) for a protocol to manage drawings, calibration and maintenance procedures associated with test tools referenced by Regulations annexed to the 1958 Agreement or by gtrs in the framework of the 1998 Agreement. He explained that this proposal would set out a methodology for indexing information files for each and any particular test device. For this purpose, he proposed to develop a common Resolution for the two Agreements. The representative of the United States of America suggested developing a gtr and a Regulation better addressing specific needs of the Contracting Parties to both Agreements. The representative of OICA believed that a simple solution would consist of a common Resolution as a “place holder” that would be kept updated in an easier way and whereby the various regulations could simply refer to this “place holder”. AC.3 agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its June 2011 session and requested the secretariat to distribute WP.29-153-11 with an official symbol. |
