The expert from the United States of America, in his capacity of Chair of the IWG on Quiet Road Transport Vehicle GTR (QRTV GTR), recalled his statement at the previous session of AC.3 about the Final Rule on Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. He reported that, following several petitions for reconsideration, the entry into force of the Final Rule had been postponed to 5 November 2017, but without modifying the effective dates of its implementation. He further indicated that IWG QRTV GTR would resume its work early in the next year. AC.3 recalled that it had agreed to extend the mandate of IWG on QRTV GTR until December 2018.
