1. The World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) held its 194th session from 12 to 15 November 2024, chaired by Mr. T. Naono (Japan). The following countries were represented, following Rule 1 of the Rules of Procedure of WP.29 (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/690/Rev.2): Algeria, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Czechia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands (Kingdom of the), Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Republic of Korea, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America and Uzbekistan. Representatives of the European Union participated. The following international organization was represented: International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The following non-governmental organizations were also represented: American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC), Association Européenne des véhicules électriques a batteries, hybrides et à Piles à combustible (AVERE), Association for Emissions Control by Catalyst (AECC), Consumers International (CI), European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA/MEMA/JAPIA)1, European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers’ Association (ETRMA) , Fédération internationale des véhicules anciens (FIVA), International Motor Vehicle Inspection Committee (CITA), Fédération International de l’Automobile (FIA), International Automotive Lighting and Light Signalling Expert Group (GTB), International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (IMMA), International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA), The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), International Road Transport Union (IRU), International Standards Organization (ISO), European Tyre and Rim Technical Association (ETRTO) and SAE International. Other non-governmental organizations, private sector entities, independent experts and observers were represented: EuroMed Transport Support Project and World Economic Forum. Others invited by the Secretariat: Chair of the IWG on SCUNV and Pierre Castaing Consulting Some 136 participants attended the session in person.
