UN R83: Proposal for a 09 series of amendments

Proposal for a new series to align with Euro 7 requirements, including provisions on manipulation devices and manipulation strategies, anti-tampering, security and cyber security, and extended lifetime and In-Service Conformity requirements for in-vehicle battery durability. The Type 2 test has been removed from this new series.

This proposal (WP.29/2026/25), as amended by para. 66 and Annex V, was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-three Contracting Parties out of the 52 applying UN R83 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-three voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
