Proposal to clarify that FVA displays indicating vehicle speed or distance traveled are not considered to be onboard speedometers or odometers for the purposes of paragraphs 5.1. and 5.2. of UN R39, including with regard to the visibility requirement during night and day in paragraph 5.2. since the speed displayed by the FVA is not the primary source of information.

This proposal (WP.29/2026/21) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-three Contracting Parties out of the 52 applying UN R39 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-three voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
