Brake particle measurement: Proposal for a new UN Regulation

Proposal to establish requirements for the type approval of vehicles with regard to the particle emissions of their braking systems, including uniform methods for their measurement. Japan abstained from the vote to adopt.
This proposal (WP.29/2026/36), as amended in para. 70, was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 0 applying UN R179 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-four voted in favor with zero against and one abstaining.
