This document addresses open issues regarding the Fast Charge Power Curve Resolution draft still under technical discussion where no consensus has been reached by the F&SC Cluster at submission of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRPE/2026/52. Open points cover measurement system requirements, test vehicle conditions, test preparation, vehicle preparation phase, parameter definitions, test evaluation tolerance criteria, and data processing and calculation of KPIs including maximum charging power, average charging power in 10–80% SoE range, power curve from 10% SoE to full charge, charging duration, and recharged energy or range in 10 minutes.
Note by the secretariat reporting on GRPE activities. WP.29/AC.1 adopted all proposals including a new UN Regulation on tyre abrasion. WP.29 agreed to host a demonstration of EV retrofitted vehicles at its 200th session in November 2026. The first meeting of the IWG on prioritization identified topics for discussion including common understanding of prioritization, high-level review of current activities, possible approaches to define prioritization, criteria for establishing new groups, and how to enhance efficiency of informal working groups and task forces. Mongolia acceded the 1958 Agreement. Light duty fuel efficiency improvement trajectory and HDV fuel efficiency measurement harmonization were tackled in GRPE. The UNECE secretary was invited to join a UNEP partnership on battery circularity to be launched in 2027.
Administrative information for the 95th session of GRPE (14–16 October 2026), including opening remarks, venue details, information on the next session scheduled for 6–9 April 2027, submission deadline of 12 January 2027, and requests for documents and presentations in accordance with WP.29-157-24, with requirements for copyright authorization and editable formats for translated materials.
Running order and tentative timetable for the 95th proper session of GRPE, scheduled for 14–16 October 2026. The agenda covers UN GTR 24 / UN R179 and Particle Measurement Programme, UN Regulations No. 24, 85, 177, light vehicles, heavy vehicles, motorcycles and mopeds, electric vehicles, automotive life cycle assessment, and other topics. Documents received after 9 October 2026 might not be discussed depending on time availability.
Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) are measurable metrics monitoring and evaluating ADS safety in operation, including lagging indicators recording outcomes like crashes and injuries, and leading indicators capturing precursors like near misses and risky behaviours. Research tested time-based and distance-based SPIs on the SHRP2 dataset containing 1402 crashes and 5262 near-crashes, achieving Area Under the Curve values of 0.883 for Distance Headway and 0.832 for Time-to-Collision in distinguishing crashes from normal driving. SPIs support safety cases, in-service monitoring and reporting requirements, and continuous ADS deployment monitoring, with future work extending analysis to additional datasets and field data collection.
