Proposal as adopted by the Working Party on General Safety Provisions (GRSG) at its 102nd session for amendments intended to prevent road accidents due to the inability of drivers of vehicles with an extremely high eye point to view small vehicles (e.g. motorcycles) in front.

Proposal to modify UN R125 in line with the amendment to UN R46 (indirect vision) that introduces the use of camera-monitor systems (CMS) in place of rear-view mirrors. This proposal also ends the temporary exemption permitting CMS device obstruction of driver field of view from 1 September 2021.
